Advisory and analytics make an ideal service for our clients
We believe this combination allows clients to manage and expand their actuarial analytics by leveraging the latest technologies in the most efficient manner.
Just as InsurTech is transforming the way insurers market their products, acquire and retain business, our focus at Zenith Actuarial is to change the way insurers access and leverage data management, analytics and visualisation technologies.
Rather than rely on expensive consulting projects, complex spreadsheets or licenced desktop actuarial projection systems that need programming by expensive actuarial specialists, the services of Zenith Actuarial – our unique “analytics as a service” – allows insurers of all sizes to access the pre-built and maintained analytics via a usage based subscription fee.
By working with our clients and understanding their needs, we aim to offer an expanding service that is always fit for purpose.
“We believe that the demands facing small to medium sized insurers across Europe – such as Solvency II regulations, EU developments (ie PRIIPS), past business thematic reviews, plus general economic pressures on administering business and delivering investment returns – mean that actuarial services and support need to align to these challenges and provide firms with value at a cost-effective level. We have established our business, people, technology and strategy in order to support our clients in this way.”

Zenith Actuarial
Services that cover all aspects of actuarial work
Through a combination of approved-person roles, consulting projects, secondments and outsourcing assignments, we support our clients’ actuarial, risk and finance teams
across a wide range of regulatory, product development, actuarial modelling and data visualisation and analysis projects.
In all our projects, whether supporting our clients or implementing our analytics, or more general advisory work, our focus is on how the analytics can add value and insights into each client’s actuarial, risk and financial management needs.
“Our recent work includes a number of product development projects for UK retail savings products and European pension development; capital management and Solvency II analysis; assisting with a large-scale actuarial model implementation for a major UK insurer; review of internal model methodology and documentation; advice and support to the audit and risk committee of a UK mutual; actuarial and financial support, including Solvency II valuation and modelling, for a start-up UK insurer; assisting a firm with FCA thematic review (long-standing customers).”

Costs that reflect actuarial and visualisation usage
Our objective is that, after configuring the service, clients will be able to rapidly produce meaningful results and insights into their business via an efficient process of configure, load data, perform analytics, visualise results.
Our initial suite of analytic offerings are targeted at Lifetime ISA (LISA) policy administration, PRIIPs calculations, supporting Thematic Reviews and Solvency II cash flow projections, risk margin and standard formula SCR calculations.
By working with our clients, our offering will expand to meet whatever their growing needs require.
The subscription fee covers the analytics, infrastructure, support and upgrades.
“The focus of our business and our aim is to develop our actuarial analytical services, so that our clients can use such services without the need for a great deal of expensive consulting support. We believe this puts them in control of the analysis they need, such as policy and asset data validation, Solvency II valuation, ORSA analysis and PRIIPS calculations, and enables them to undertake this analysis in a cost- effective manner that meets budget constraints, and is able to deliver to tight timescales.”
