Actuarial Analyst | Malta | Immediate Start
We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Analyst to join our team in Malta. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated actuarial professional who is passionate about combining traditional actuarial expertise with technology-driven product development.
The Role
As an Actuarial Analyst, you will work closely with actuarial and technical teams to support the development of innovative actuarial products and tools. A key focus of the role will be modernising actuarial processes by migrating spreadsheet- and Python-based intellectual property into robust computing environments, reducing reliance on desktop-based VBA solutions for stochastic modelling and calculations.
Essential Requirements
- Minimum 3 years' actuarial experience gained within an actuarial consultancy, insurer, or specialist actuarial services company
- Partially qualified actuary with successful completion of actuarial examinations, including CB1 and CM1
- Proven experience in product development, translating actuarial tools, models, and processes into scalable applications
- Experience working with actuarial models, stochastic calculations, and quantitative analysis
- Strong understanding of Excel, VBA, and Python-based actuarial environments
- Experience supporting the migration of actuarial intellectual property from spreadsheets and desktop applications into more robust technology platforms
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary actuarial and software development teams
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and enhance actuarial products and applications
- Convert actuarial models and methodologies into scalable technology solutions
- Support the migration of actuarial IP from spreadsheet and Python-based tools into enterprise-grade computing environments
- Reduce dependency on desktop-based VBA processes through automation and technology innovation

- Improve efficiency, governance, and scalability across actuarial processes and systems
